A little bit about me...
I started my professional career as a special education teacher and when I realized I was spending more of my day counseling students than on academics, an Aha! moment hit me, I was in the wrong field. Back to school for an MSW and a Gender Violence Intervention Certification from Virginia Commonwealth University. I have since completed the Sexual Health Certificate Program from the University of Michigan and became a Certified Sex Therapist in 2019. Since 2010, I have been working as a trauma therapist and in 2015, I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
I am queer, neurodivergent and a trauma survivor. I use these identities to approach therapy from a trauma informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and person-centered framework.
Beyond the clinical info, I enjoy being out in nature whenever I can whether hiking in the woods or getting out near water. I enjoy time with my cats and dog, spending time with my family.
